TREATMENT WITH OZONE FOR RAISE CATTLE
It is not a topic to speak about the importance in the use of Ozone in the raise cattle in general.
In these cases ozone has two fundamental purposes:
A.- To sterilize the atmosphere and to maintain it free of germs by its bactericidal action.
B.- To deodorize the rarefied air.
Ozone, in its eminent bactericidal action, destroys all bacterium, virus, or germs; either of the outside or of the own atmosphere. Once they have been eliminated, it remains an Ozone load in the air coming up any later contamination.

APPLICATION OF OZONE IN THE PROCESS OF RAISE OF BIRDS
Beginning from the egg collection, and its selection, until its transformation in meat and sacrifice, we can observe the following processes:
From the transport of eggs to the incubator, they are exposed to a possible contamination of the atmosphere in which this operation is developed, which is assimilated through the porosities of the rind, due to the different temperature between the egg and the atmosphere.
Once the eggs are in the incubator, there is still a risk of bacterium, germs, virus, etc., that can penetrate in the same one. Still assuming that, before arriving eggs, there have already been a good disinfection and sterilization in all the dependencies.
What it is not predicted is the entrance of strange bodies of outside through openings that always exist (doors, windows, etc.), since it is inevitable the entrance and the exit as much the material that is required for its handling as the personnel. That's why, it is necessary to consider that there is a propitious atmosphere by temperature and degree of humidity in the dependencies for the incubation and development of the strange bodies previously mentioned.
We know that the main success to obtain a good transformation of meat's fodder begins already from the incubation, and the insertion in the boxes. If we establish a good ozonization starting on the incubator, we will notice excellent results.
HOW IS USED OZONE IN AN INCUBATOR?
We can begin by the personnel and check if in locker room, washbasin and toilets is necessary to put an ozone generator, in order to get the sterilization total of these dependencies.
There must also be a room where the boxes, trays and other elements can be stored, subjected to a strong and constant ozonization in order to assure perfect conditions in the elements when they are used.
The rest of the dependencies require smaller ozone metering since the main objective, previously mentioned, is already obtained.
If the air needed in the incubator is taken from the outside, it would also be advisable to put it under ozonization.
If we want to get the ozonization from the beginning, it is also advisable to equip the transport. There is a type of Ozonizer that works to 12-24V that can be placed in the same one and maintains a sterile atmosphere.
Following this process we arrive at the farms. What does it happen in them? Most of times, we will find them cleaned and disinfected, after having spent a period of rest that can oscillate between 5 and 15 days. These premises that have been disinfected intensely through different products, at first do not display any sign of contamination. Later, windows and doors are opened completely in order to ventilate and to evaporate the residual gases that the disinfectant have left.
How long are the premises left in period of rest?. It depends on the criterion of the farmer and the necessities of raising, etc.
When this happens, is it that the farmer doesn't know that when he opens the premises completely to ventilate it, all type of bacteria, germs, virus, can enter? And that when the chicks arrive, they are going to find an atmosphere propitious to assimilate all this type of microorganisms?
However, if the chicks find to the arrival an Ozonized premise, it won't form ammoniac and fermentative steams motivated as much by the water as fodder spilling.
One of the main effects that will begin to feel the birds will be a better digestion of foods, and, therefore, a better transformation. In addition to don't need to wait between rearing some days which are not profitable at all.
With ozone, according to experiences made in advanced countries in this subject (E.E.U.U., ITALY, and the U.R.S.S.), it has been obtained until a 20% of increase in weight with the same amount of fodder, and the skin is yellowier than without having to resort to colorants to provide better aspect to the meat.
It is also worthy to mention, the saving in heating that provides the fact of having Ozonized premises. It is usually provided a focal temperature of 35º and an environmental one of 15 to 18º. However, as the time goes by, first of all, the atmosphere begins to become scarce, and it is necessary to open the windows to provide a greater oxygenation in the atmosphere. It is then when these losses of calories and contractions of temperatures that cause diverse respiratory diseases take place.
So, why is necessary to open windows for oxygenating the premises, if with the application of Ozone we are already producing oxygen inside them?
Some people can wonder that when we must provide these renovations to the premise, the contaminated air can enter inside it. It is certain, the air enters contaminated, and therefore bacteria, germs, virus, etc. enter. But, what does it happen later? There is already ozone inside the premise, so it neutralizes these polluting agents, as they are entering.
Between the problems that can present the raise of animals, are diverse diseases that affect to the birds. Chickens of meat: It is obtained a greater yield (approximately 18%), better aspect, and a great reduction of pathogenic diseases, with the consequent saving in preventive medicine.
Laying hens: It is also obtained a greater yield in the development of the hens, greater consistency in the rind of the egg and more pronouncing coloration in the yolk.
Reproductive hens: Due to the fact to be a reproductive hen, they require special conditions of handling. If this fact is made in an Ozonized atmosphere, we will reduce considerably the risk of that contract diseases, and the disastrous effects that the egg feel later. As a consequence of this, it is deduced that Ozone is essential to obtain a egg apt for the incubation.

How do the Ozonizers install in a Bird-raising farm?
According to cases, it can be installed only a generator and be leaded through polyethylene tubes, with the necessary measures in two or three lines, throughout the premises for its complete distribution.
